Acrylic paints on canvas

After I was invited to hang some pieces at an art show, I had to come up with some pieces that existed outside my computer.  I'd done a lot of comic-style drawings with India ink and markers, but I colored all my stuff in Photoshop.  That's when I started working with acrylics on canvas.  These are most of the pieces that I've created in the last two months.

Acrylics on posterboard

Soon I discovered that I could water down the acrylics and paint right over the india ink and markers, on poster board, and the line work would show through.  This is the piece, "Hell's Frequency."  The other, Helliphant, was an idea put forth by on of the guitarists in my band, Helliphant.  He wanted a Ganesha-style evil preacher.  I painted the Helliphant on poster board in a couple hours, late at night.

Acrylic on mirror

I bought a large mirror from St. Vinnies and painted over it.  I wanted the frame, which I also painted, though it is not pictured here.

Watercolor

Before I discovered acrylics, I used those basic watercolor sets that you get for school as a kid.  Mostly they were gifts for family members and friends, none of which I have a decent digi pic of.  These two are entirely watercolor.  One is about ten years old and the other about a year old.  Can you tell which is which?

Pen

Most of these drawings were done late at night with a Bic pen on typing paper.  It was how I would unwind after a stressful day.  That's right, three hours bent over a table, scratching all the ink in a pen onto a piece of paper is very relaxing.

India Ink/Marker and Photoshop

Line work created on paper or poster board, then I either scan the image into the computer or take a picture with a digital camera (depending on size.) Then some coloring in Photoshop.

Computer Generated

These images were created entirely in the computer.  Some are generated entirely in Photoshop, but I often use my Wacom tablet to create the line art in Flash and then color and add effects with Photoshop.
